Davonport - Tillingham Kitchen
St Saviour, Guernsey

At Luxioso, we pride ourselves on transforming spaces into functional works of art.

Designer: Jeff
Location: St Saviour

This recently completed Davonport kitchen project exemplifies our commitment to quality craftsmanship, innovative design, and personalised service.

  • The design journey always begins with a thorough consultation to understand our client’s vision and lifestyle. The goal was to create a timeless kitchen that balances aesthetics with functionality.

    • Style:  Davonport Traditional Tillingham

    • Color Palette: Little Greene Ferdinand No. 313 kitchen finish / Worktops - Cloudy black, Brass handles

    • Materials: Smooth painted doors, Oak interiors, Corestone quartz, Glass, Brass

  • This kitchen features custom cabinetry designed to maximise storage while maintaining a sleek and elegant look. It includes bespoke solid oak drawer inserts, a custom integrated American fridge freezer, a bespoke canopy, and Tillingham radius cabinets that match the worktop.

The cabinetry is finished with natural brass butt hinges and handles for a refined touch.

The worktops are made of 30mm Corestone Cloudy Black, offering both durability and visual appeal. Drainer grooves enhance functionality, while radius corners and matching splashbacks complete the design.

The kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances, including a Fisher & Paykel French door fridge freezer, Miele and Bosch appliances, and a Quooker Fusion Classic with a PRO3 tank and cube in a patinated brass tap.

A Thomas Denby white ceramic sink, vintage 900mm double bowl, adds a classic element.

For lighting, Sensio fittings are installed under all cabinets, with a controller that allows adjustments to the warmth and colour of the lighting, creating the desired atmosphere.

The open-concept layout features a large island, encouraging interaction and flow, making the space ideal for both cooking and entertaining.

  • Biggest Challenge: Our client wanted more space at either side of their Aga which was made more difficult due to the existing granite mantle that supported the granite fireplace on the floor above.

Solution: We had to source a sub-contractor to make a bespoke steel support into the ceiling to support the fireplace above. This allowed Jeff the opportunity to design the worktop areas on both sides of the existing Aga.
